Chicago Alternative Investments Research Conference

As an expansion of previous years’ conferences in Chicago, one of the Institute for Private Capital’s newest members, Northern Trust, hosted the Alternative Investments Research Conference in Chicago on May 11. Led by Northern Trust’s Paul Finlayson, a number of leading academics presented to a full house of practitioners and academics, spanning topics including hedge funds trading strategies, cyclical strategies for private equity investing, and home bias in real estate investing, among other topics. A panel discussion challenged both participants and attendees to shift their current thinking about asset allocation. We look forward to next year’s event!
